Guidelines to placing your WISCAT request:

• You must include both your first and last name

• Passwords are for your use only; you may use your pin number or create a new password

• You must provide your full library card number

• You must enter either a phone number or e-mail address for notification purposes; we do not send notices through the mail for WISCAT items

•  Include other information about the item you are requesting in the “Additional Notes” box at the bottom of the form :

  • Other information includes:

    • Abridged or unabridged

    • The number of parts in a collection (the number of DVDs in a TV series, etc.)

• Please leave check the box for “Any Edition is Acceptable”, unless you need a specific year or edition of the title

•  The “This Format Only” box is used for making requests for specific formats, such as DVD or CD only, please use this option only when it applies

•  The Need by Date should not be changed unless you have a deadline. Requests will only filled before the ‘need by date’, after that, the item will not be sent.

If you do not include the required information, you may get an item that you do not want or cannot use; or in some cases your item may not be sent at all. Please be specific and include as much information as possible when forming your request.
